Syed Ali raza Abidi was born on 6 July 1972 in Karachi. He was born in a family that belonged to MQM in fact his father Syed Ikhlaq Hussain Abidi was also a former MNA. Syed Ali Raza Abidi was assassinated on 25 Dec 2018 at the age 46, he was shot at the gate of his residence in Khayabane Ghazi in DHA.
SSP Pir Muhammad Shah said, “the suspects have been traced at two to three spots through CCTV footage of cameras installed in the area”, SSP added more “Abidi’s guard, Qadeer, has been taken into custody, the guard went inside and asked Abidi’s father for a weapon to respond to the suspects’ firing”.The guard belongs to Dera Ghazi Khan and has been deployed for two months.
Syed Ali Raza Abidi – Former MNA
Syed Ali Raza Abidi was a member of National Assembly of Pakistan from 2013 to 2018 from NA-251 Karachi. He was a well-educated politician and got his graduation in marketing degree from Boston University. Moreover he was the CEO of Akhlaq enterprises.
Political Career
Ali Raza Abidi was born in a family that belonged to MQM. His father Syed Ikhlaq Hussain Abidi was a former MNA. Ali Raza was taking part in election 2013, win that at his first try and got himself a seat in the National Assemblr of Pakistan. One thing important to mention here, there were some serious issues around his MNA seat and apparently resigned from his position and joined Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), possibly this can be one of the reasons to his shot dead.
