Zartaj Gul Wazir (Urdu: زرتاج گل وزیر ) is a famous Pakistani politician. Zartaj was born in Federally Administered Tribal Areas in the month of November 1984. On 5 October 2018 she was assigned as Minister of State for Climate Change. She is also a MNA since August 2018.
Zartaj Gul belongs to Pashtun Wazir tribe. She completed undergraduate studies from Queen Mary College and then did post graduate degree from National College of Arts in Textile Designing.
In the year 2005 she joined Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) and became a volunteer member of the party. She got married in 2010 and moved to Dera Ismail Khan. Gul has worked for PTI as a PTI’s core committee and central deputy information secretary.
She took part in election 2013 as a candidate of PTI for NA-172 (Dera Ghazi Khan-II) but was not successful. In Pakistani election 2018 she again took part as a candidate of PTI for NA-191 (Dera Ghazi Khan-III). This time she got victory by receiving 79,817 votes.
She is currently minister of Climate Change.
