Zulay Henao was born on 29 May 1979 in Medellín, Colombia. Her family migrated to New Jersey afterwards when she was 4 years old. She was also in US army for 3 years after completing high school. While stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC, she found time to study at Methodist College. After her three-year commitment to the military, Zulay decided to finally pursue her dream of performing. She enrolled in The School for Film and Television in NYC, which she would attend for the next three years. It was during this time that her big break came in May 2006. She landed the female lead in Feel the Noise starring opposite Omarion of B2K. Simon Fields, Sofia Sondervan and Jennifer Lopez produced this Columbia Pictures feature film.

She started her career from 2 small movie Film 101 and Clearview in 2005. She maded her proper debut in 2007 from an episode of TV Series Army Wives. The same year she also appeared in supporting roles in the film Illegal Tender and Feel the Noise.
Zulay is no stranger to the small screen either. Her TV credits include guest-starring roles on Mark Gordon’s (Grey’s Anatomy) Lifetime series Army Wives, NBC’s Law and Order: SVU and ABC’s The Unusuals. Other film credits include a lead role in Charles Dutton’s (Roc) directed Lifetime movie Racing for Time, and Samantha Darko. Chris Fisher directed this continuation of the cult classic Donnie Darko. Zulay plays a recluse named “Baelyn” and co-starred with Justin Chatwin, Matt Davis and Elizabeth Berkley.
